Legendary song of The Doors Lyrics: You know that it would be untrue You know that I would be a liar If I was to say to you Girl, we couldn't get much higher Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire The time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire Yeah The time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire Yeah You know that it would be untrue You know that I would be a liar If I was to say to you Girl, we couldn't get much higher Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire Try to set the night on fire Try to set the night on fire Try to set the night on fire

The Doors Back Door Man/Five To One Live at Hollywood Bowl 1968 5 July

05:23
Break On Through To The "The Doors Portal" https://www.facebook.com/TheDoorsPortal https://twitter.com/TheDoorsPortal "Originally filmed by the Feast of Friends crew, the Hollywood Bowl footage was officially released as a complete concert film in 1987. The filmwork is a mix of 3 16mm Airiflex cameras, one high speed 16mm camera, and features professional 8-track audio, recorded by Paul Rothchild and Bruce Botnick in the Wally Heider remote truck. As a full concert film was not originally intended, portions of this show are incomplete. During the original performance, Jim's microphone had technical issues, resulting in vocal errors on the soundtrack. Jim's voice was synthetically engineered by Sonic Solutions to reproduce Jim's voice to fill in the missing vocal segments. The original released edit runs at about an hour, while the amount of original filmwork is unknown. An official re-release is planned for the future." Synopsis: "Unless you were there, you've never seen anything like it - the legendary Doors at their peak in this, the only complete concert ever filmed of the controversial superband. Filmed live at the Hollywood Bowl during the Fourth of July weekend, 1968, The Doors perform their most critically-acclaimed music before an SRO crowd. Unlike other Doors material, this once-thought-lost concert was captured by a four-camera crew with 16-track audio (mixed for the first time using digital technology) resulting in a production which enables fans both old and new to experience the actual sights and sounds of this immortal group on stage. Subtle and powerful, elusive and direct, The Doors Live At The Hollywood Bowl reveals The Doors at their dark and brilliant best - now... and forever."

They released their eponymous debut album, which contained their hit single Light My Fire, in 1967 and went on to be one of the most controversial and influential rock acts of the sixties. Jim Morrison's early death in Paris in 1971 only served to fuel their legend and both he and the band have continued to enjoy iconic status for more than thirty years. The Doors Live at The Chicago Coliseum 1968

04:51
CONCERT DATE: MAY 10, 1968 LOCATION: Chicago, IL. VENUE: Chicago Coliseum FORMAT: Super8 COLOR: Yes LENGTH: approx 4:45 AUDIO: Silent* *The audio track comes from a 2nd generation audience recording and it has been intentionally left out of synch almost in its entirety due to the frequent use of the Super8 trigger. ****************************** ULTRA RARE FOOTAGE ©Dean Milano: - “I was so disappointed when I finally bought the Hollywood Bowl DVD. That concert was nowhere near as exciting as the one we saw only a few months prior. It is the May '68 Riot concert. Morrison is very animated and you can see that he's motioning the audience to come up onto the stage at one point. When the Doors did Light My Fire, Morrison basically gestured for all of us, the audience, to come on to the stage and everyone crowded up to the front, many people actually getting on stage. The stage got so crowded that the band had to end the song before they could do the signature tag ending, and this recording proves that.” ©Dean Milano: - Back in May of 1968, some friends and I went to see the Doors in Chicago at an event that would eventually be termed “The Riot Concert” after Morrison invited the entire audience to join the band onstage. The last song of the show was Light My Fire and because the stage was now filling with people, the band was not able to finish the song with the famous instrumental tag/intro piece.I remembered this for many years, and would tell people about it, but because their was no audio/visual of the show, I couldn’t really prove it and some folks didn’t believe me. Imagine that. Ha!Well, fast forward to 2012, when I happened upon a YouTube video labeled something like- The Doors Chicago Riot Concert, May 1968. There was no visual, but the audio was of the show ending with Light My Fire and at the end of the song, the audience is cheering and sure enough- the band never plays the tag. So, that confirmed it for me and I was now convinced I hadn’t imagined it all. Then I said to myself- Hmmm, I think my friend Steve Carlson took some Super 8 film of that show. So I contacted Steve and sure enough, he had film but- he couldn’t locate it!So for several years, we went back and forth until I went to visit him at his home in Texas and he handed me a disc with the film transferred to a DVD. Now we were on our way.I immediately contacted Giuliano Amoruso, a Doors fan in Italy who had posted the audio portion on Youtube. I sent him the visual and he put the audio to it and that’s what you are going to hear in this new YouTube he and I have put up. The audio and visual are not perfectly synched as that would’ve been virtually impossible, but Giuliano has done a terrific job with what he had to work with. The concert was incredibly exciting and I think this YouTube actually captures some of that excitement. ****************************** The Doors Live At The Chicago Coliseum, Chicago, Illinois May 10, 1968 Soul Kitchen -Poor Otis, Dead And Gone Break On Through -There You Sit Alabama Song Back Door Man Five To One When The Music's Over -Back To San Diego The Crystal Ship Wake Up! 5th July 1968 The Door's Live at the Hollywood Bowl, is one of the most quintessential performances of rock history. Mick Jagger actually attended this performance and was sitting next to Jim's girlfriend Pamela. As of 3rd June 2011: Part 1 - 160,926 Part 2 - 71,329 Part 3 - 59,376 Part 4 - 55,175 Part 5 - 38,599 Part 6 - 33,085 Part 7 - 29,232 People need to start watching the entire film. The Doors Live At The Hollywood Bowl Part 3 Of 7

5th July 1968 The Door's Live at the Hollywood Bowl, is one of the most quintessential performances of rock history. Mick Jagger actually attended this performance and was sitting next to Jim's girlfriend Pamela. One of the greatest things about this recording, was that it was the only Door's concert that was entirely filmed. Most other recordings where cancelled before or even during the set. As of 3rd June 2011: Part 1 - 160,926 Part 2 - 71,329 Part 3 - 59,376 Part 4 - 55,175 Part 5 - 38,599 Part 6 - 33,085 Part 7 - 29,232 People need to start watching the entire film. You don't know what your missing out on.

The Doors The End Live at Hollywood Bowl 1968 5 July

Follow: "The Doors Portal" https://www.facebook.com/TheDoorsPortal https://twitter.com/TheDoorsPortal The Doors The End Live at Hollywood Bowl 1968 5 July "Originally filmed by the Feast of Friends crew, the Hollywood Bowl footage was officially released as a complete concert film in 1987. The original released edit runs at about an hour, while the amount of original filmwork is unknown." Synopsis: "Unless you were there, you've never seen anything like it - the legendary Doors at their peak in this, the only complete concert ever filmed of the controversial superband.
