Thematic collection inspired turn my Earth, San Vicente de Alcántara (Extremadura), after 35 years of absence. Dedicated to all the people who are forced abondanar Earth that gave them birth. I think like a sculptor with a piece of marble, a musician with a song, a painter with a box, also with a piece of cloth, can be expressed, "Feelings, memories and emotions."

UK: LONDON FASHION WEEK: YOUNG SPANISH DESIGNER UNVEILS COLLECTION

02:31
Spanish/Nat Spanish designer, Amaya Arzuaga, scored highly with the fashion world on Tuesday at London Fashion Week. Arzuaga's talent has been bought up by the world's most prestigious department stores since she started her own label four years ago. In a year when less is more, her clothes reveal her talent as well as just bare skin. On Tuesday at London's Fashion Week, it was not just the Brits who stole the show. A young designer from Spain is also making her mark. When Amaya Arzuaga finished her studies in fashion design in 1992, she had little idea of the success that would come her way. Her first job was at her mother's knitwear company 'Elipse', where she made the most of learning more about fabrics, design and manufacturing. Then Arzuaga decided to go it alone. Since her first collection 1994, Arzuaga has had one success after another. Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar asked her to design the clothes for his film 'Carne Tremula' and Spanish flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortes used some of her designs for his dance 'Passion Gitana'. In 1996 she won the title of Designer of the Year in Spain at the age of 26. Amaya Arzuaga has since been recognised as a leading fashion icon in Spain, and is a regular participant at London Fashion Week. She said that the fabrics helped her to come up with the designs for her 1998 collection. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) "In fact I have no concrete expectations. I bought the materials, concentrated on what I thought would be new, and I started to work from there." SUPER CAPTION: Amaya Arzuaga, Spanish fashion designer Buyers and journalists from all over the world are amongst her admirers. And the secret? The secret lies in the seductiveness and elegance of her designs. Different fabrics such as cashmere, leather, muslin and sequins combine to elegantly dress the female form - at least partially. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) I have a lot of sequins on transparent material, a lot of cashmere, a lot of handmade material and leather. SUPER CAPTION: Amaya Arzuaga, Spanish fashion designer This year, baring almost all is the name of the game. But the Amaya Arzuaga look is seductive and feminine - and for the brave, wearable too. Bare legs, bottoms and tums are partially revealed and partially hidden. A cashmere wrap can fall to flatter the waist whilst partially covering a thigh-high split in a skirt. However, only the slimmest women could consider a see-through net skirt, or the net dress with all but a few feathers sewn on to hide behind. As her clothes were modelled along the catwalks in London Fashion Week, buyers queued up for orders. The Amaya Arzuaga label can be found in over 30 countries. Spanish designer Elisa Palomino, born in Valencia, presented a show called "Holy forest." For her collection, she drew inspiration from Sada Jacco, a Japanese geisha who became the first actress in her country and widely influenced Paris fashion as she came in France at the end XIX century. Wearing her kimono, as Palomino explained, Sada Jacco amazed the French public and became the source of inspiration for artists like Gustave Moreau, Klimt, Puccini and Deboussy. The designer combined kimonos, from Japanese tradition, with Siberian fur hats and unusual hairstyles. She mixed up flowers from each of four seasons (such as iris, wisteria, and chrysanthemum) combining silk and luxurious brocade. Palomino described herself as baroque, as she likes drawing on her spanish culture and italian Renaissance tradition too. Spanish designer presented her first collection in 2010. Unlike the high-powered world of Milan fashion, the Rome fashion shows chose to give opportunities to young less-experienced and alternative designers. Top UK designer Alice Temperley opts for Spanish style

05:22
SHOTLIST 1. Various backstage preparations 2. SOUNDBITE (English) Alice Temperley, Fashion Designer: "Just listening to Spanish music, really loving the Lipizzaner Horses, wanting lots of very rich colours and crystals and we're using a lot of very traditional techniques that were all in the matador's costume - it was the matador jacket that inspired the whole collection." 3. Front row including Jade Jagger, Mariella Frostrup, Saffron Aldridge, Plum Sykes and Elizabeth Saltzman 3. Various catwalk 4. Finale 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Alice Temperley, Fashion Designer: "Yeah, I hope to stay in London. I'd love to stay in London but business-wise, I run a company with lots of people and I have to make it work." (Q: So this may be your...?) "Last one?" (Q: You said that last time?) "I know, peer pressure, I have to because the industry, none of them come to England. So it's a shame. I'm an English girl, I'd like to be here." 6. Alice Temperley talking to TV crew TOP UK DESIGNER OPTS FOR SPANISH STYLE Alice Temperley, the hot new British designer, may have threatened (again) to make this her last London show, but there is no doubt that her hometown still loves her. The young designer boasted a front row that included Jade Jagger, Mariella Frostrup, Saffron Aldridge, Plum Sykes and Elizabeth Saltzman. Inspried by matadors, dancing horses, flamenco and Frida Kahlo, the legendary Mexican painter, Temperley's hispanic homage sent out dress after dress of the finest wool that slipped over model curves into patches of black, grape and plum. Bare-backed evening robes were intricately crocheted and lit up with glittering embroidery and the coats - practical and beautiful - swung around the body in curved seams or came military style in pink-piped black wool. Temperley, revered for attention to detail, has shot onto the fashion superpower list and now can hear the mega-money voices of New York and fashion's big league calling. Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada attends opening of fashion retrospective at museum

01:53
SPANISH DESIGN ICON AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA: A 30-YEAR RETROSPECTIVE Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada says she prefers to see her fashion designs in a museum rather than on the runway because it's "less elitist" and anyone can have a look. On Thursday the Spanish Cultural Center in Mexico City will open its doors for a retrospective of her work including 55 dresses that she created over the past three decades. In an interview with the Associated Press, the designer said she believes an exhibition is even more beautiful than a fashion show. "If you do a fashion show only those invited can go. And then the fashion show lasts 20 minutes or 25, in a specific place, and so it's very difficult because maybe many people want to go but can't because they're working, or they're sick, or they're somewhere else." she explains. According to the designer, born in Madrid in 1960, the dresses in the exhibit are not the most commercial of her creations, but rather the most interesting ones. It showcases some of her earliest designs including a personal favorite, a red dress surrounded by a dozen rings. The exhibit will be open to the public until May 10 at the Spanish Cultural Center. It previously visited Peru, Chile and Panama. Why Princess Kate Dresses Her Kids in Spanish Designers

01:04
Christmas came early for the European children's wear brands that scored a surprise appearance in Princess Charlotte's first solo portraits. The m&h floral-print cotton dress with smocking effect and frill collar, a style very popular for young babies in Spain, is believed to have been bought by nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo. It has since sold out, but designer Margarita Pato Cid is working to restock. "We'll receive more in a couple of weeks, but due to the success of the photographs, they are all reserved," Cid, whose flagship store is based in Madrid, tells PEOPLE. "We love the way Kate has dressed her children for public events – it's a very classic, elegant way, with a European style we identify with," adds Cid. The cotton dress cost just $32, but it was paired with a luxurious cashmere cardigan (still unidentified) and pale pink ribbed tights from upscale London boutique Amaia, a favorite of Princess Kate's located in Chelsea Green. "I think it's nice that Kate chose a dress from a really small brand that nobody knows," Amaia Arrieta, owner of the eponymous boutique, tells PEOPLE, adding that the style was far from surprising: "The kids in Spain are always immaculate and it does have a great reputation for kids' fashion – it's traditional, but the cut is little bit more modern, which I think she likes." With a clear love of Spanish kids' clothing (not only is Amaia herself Spanish-born, but Kate exclusively dressed Charlotte in high-end Spanish children's wear and home goods boutique Irulea for every public appearance so far, except the christening), it's clear that nanny Maria is having a sartorial influence. "I think the nanny understands what Kate likes, and she is happy for her to buy things – it's easier because it's more discreet,” says Arrieta, whose sock sales have been booming ever since Prince George became a fan of her cotton knee-highs. And it seems that Kate’s love of European children's wear also extends to Italy as Kate, her sister Pippa and Maria have all bought items from the Italian cashmere brand Love In Kyó, stocked at both Nursery Window and Trotters, two of Kate's go-to shops in London's Chelsea neighborhood. They even made some bespoke items for George when his size wasn't available.

2016 Madrid Fashion Week Kicks Off in Spanish Capital

02:03
The 64th Madrid Fashion Week kicked off in the Spanish capital city of Madrid on Friday, with more than 42 runways shows of international designers set to be presented during the five day event. As the largest platform for showcasing high-end Spanish designs, the biannual fashion week has become one of the most important events for presenting upcoming fashion trends to the public since it was first held in 1985. Top Spanish fashion masters including Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Teresa Helbig will unveil their latest creations in over 20 catwalk shows during the fashion week. One special feature of the Madrid Fashion Week is that viewers can not only watch the runway shows, but also take away fashion magazines and acquire the most chic makeup techniques from make-up artists. Unlike the more famous fashion weeks in Milan, Paris and London, the Madrid Fashion Week provides an opportunity for young designers to raise their profile on the international stage.More on:http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20160919/8032415.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus

Various of models with make up artist at backstage 6. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Antonio Pernas, fashion designer: "My personal opinion is that it was a polemical step, hard for the designers, very hard for many models, I send from here a big kiss and all my support, but this could be a touch of attention to the young people who can't only look at themselves on the mirror but also on their inside." 7. Various of models having lunch between shows 8. Close-up of one plate with a little lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes 9. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Bimba Bose, model: "It's a minority inside the world of fashion (anorexic models), I can assure you, I have been working for many years and this is an illness caused by other circumstances and I don't think nutritious related illness have anything to do with being thin. I mean a model has to be thin and tall." 10. Various of model on the catwalk MODELS TOO THIN FOR SPANISH FASHION WEEK The Spanish Fashion Week also known as Pasarela (catwalk) Cibeles started in Madrid on Monday after organisers of Spain's top annual fashion show rejected five models as too thin to appear in this year's event. Organisers acted on an earlier decision to bar extremely thin women from the catwalk. The show decided on September 8 not to allow women below a predetermined body mass to height ratio to take part. "I think we had arrived at a point, probably without consciously knowing, where the girls almost had such a thin look that made them a hanger while a model in order to be seen can't be just a hanger with an skeletal look", said the director of the show. The doctors told journalists that of 68 models who were evaluated, five failed to meet the new criteria. Each model had been allowed to appear at the examination accompanied by an agent and a representative from the fashion industry. Show organisers said that some well-known models had not gone to the examination. " My personal opinion is that it was a polemical step, hard for the designers, very hard for many models, I send from here a big kiss and all my support, but this could be a touch of attention to the young people", said Antonio Pernas, the first designer to show his collections this year. But some models such as Bimba Bose think anorexia and other nutritious related illness cannot exclusively be blamed on the models. "This is an illness caused by other circumstances," she said. She added that being thin didn't mean being anorexic. The show, which started on Monday and will end Friday, wants to project an image of beauty, elegance and health. In this spirit, a decision was taken to exclude models that paraded gaunt, emaciated styles. The show also banned makeup that makes models appear wan. The body mass index is a calculation doctors normally apply to study obesity. In metric it is obtained by dividing a person's weight in kilograms by their height in meters squared. In the English system it is calculated by dividing weight in pounds by height in inches squared, and multiplying that total by 703.
